This service is highly recommended every 4-12 weeks, when the nails are long and/or it is necessary to remove modest but not yet problematic calluses on heels, get rid of small corns or soft cracks on heels. In other cases, a special foot health treatments is recommended.
High-risk foot patients should be checked to prevent health issues or serious problems with the feet, to deal with any pains or risk of infection or amputation due to ingrown toe nails, ulceration etc. In this case, a session is advised every 4-6 weeks instead of a quick tidy up treatment. When dealing with a bigger skin or nail issue, then one of the special foot health treatments or more frequent treatments may be the solution.
The intensity and extent of the callus formation as well as the structure of the hard skin depends on several factors. In the case of having minor hard skin formation, some corns or fissures or cracked skin on the heels, the traditional pedicure is the recommended procedure, where the hard skin is removed, corns are enucleated with a sterile blade and both a scalpel technique and a modern drill machine are applied together.
