Toenails usually grow half as slowly as fingernails but in some cases it is highly recommended to tidy them up every 4 – 6 weeks, for example:
High-risk foot patients should be checked more often to avoid health issues, pain or the risk of infection or amputation due to ingrown toenails, ulceration etc. However, in this case, every 4-6 weeks a regular, traditional foot health care treatment would be recommended instead of this quick tidy up session.
In the case of any minor nail or skin disorders the traditional pedicures appropriate; when dealing with a bigger skin or nail issue, then one of the special foot health treatments can be the solution. In both the traditional pedicure, or during any of the special foot health treatments, the skin is removed with a sterile blade and both a scalpel technique and a modern drill machine are used together.
